Conversation with a 3 year old

Me: How was your day at school??
Addie: It was good.
Me: Good! What did y'all do??
Addie: We worked on pictures of Groundfrogs
Me: Groundfrogs?? You mean Groundhogs??
Addie: Uh, yeah. Groundfrogs. Dat's what I said.
Me: Oooooh, ok (trying really hard not to let her see me laughing)
Me: So what did you learn about Groundhogs??
Addie: I dunno. Somethin' about the shadow.
Me: Ok
Addie: Yeah. Groundfrogs have a special shadow. I don't get it.
Me: Me either, baby. Me either.

It was the funniest thing!! I must say, regardless of if it is true or not, I am really glad that Groundfrog didn't see his shadow. I am ready for spring!!!!
